On the occasion of the upcoming state elections in Saxony and the ongoing shift to the right in Germany, but especially in the Free State of Saxony, another large demonstration has been announced in Dresden. Under the name “Wir sind die Brandmauer” (We are the firewall), a sign for democracy and against right-wing extremism is to be set on August 25 from 15:00. Among the first program items announced are Searching for Home, who want to participate in this rally as part of the Saxon music scene. In addition to contributions from
Stefan Ehly (1st authorized representative of IG Metall Dresden and Riesa)
Nilsson Samuelsson (Chairman of the Ausländerrat Dresden e. V.) and
Ensemble coexist with musicians from different cultures and religions under the motto “First human - united in music”
the collective of musicians of Saxon origin will take a stand with around 20 minutes of live music - true to the motto:
“Democracy doesn't just happen. We have to protect it when it's in danger. As a band, we do this as best we can: We are many - we are loud!”
